Trick or Treat

Since Boston was able to go home we hauled butt back to Concord in time to get everyone ready for downtown trick or treating. Some of you know that Halloween is my all time favorite holiday and I was pretty bummed when I thought I would be missing all the fun. However that was not the case! It was great to see Mimi in her witch outfit it definitely helped when trying to get Mia in hers. We also dressed up again for the law school Halloween party today. The girls had fun getting their face painted and doing the cupcake walk. The best part is it's not even Halloween yet the fun is just getting started.

Discharged...

Well Boston was discharged Friday afternoon. They still don't know what's going on and he had lost weight again from Thursday to Friday. They still have other tests they want to order but thought it would be best to wait since he has so many already pending and something may show up in one of those. He will however be going to the Dr. twice a week for weight checks until all the tests come back. We are glad to be home now so it's probably for the best. All the nurses were sad when Boston left he had about 10 of them run up to say their goodbyes. He will be missed, and hopefully we won't see them again... even though we loved them all!

Day 3 & 4

Time goes by very slowly when you're stuck in a hospital. They still don't know what's wrong with Boston. All my days are running together here so forgive me if I repeat myself. Liver Blood results came back fine, but now they're saying they did look a little off in certain places. Today they said the same thing about his Thyroid. The ultrasound of his belly turned out fine. So pretty much today they made Boston priority 1 today and talked to as many specialists as they could to compile a list of possible tests, I should find out the plan tomorrow around noon. Some good news about our stay here... Kya , Mia and Daddy were able to come up yesterday for a visit. It's so hard to be away from the girls and Kya broke my heart when she asked to stay with Boston and I. Today my friends Michelle and Melonie made the hour long trek to take me out to lunch. It felt so weird to breath the air outside and not share air with a million other people in a building. So that was fun and a much needed break. Tomorrow Todd will be switching me so I can get the girls ready for the downtown trick-or-treat. And we're so glad that Mimi arrived safely this morning to be with the girls... YEAH!! And I'm so lucky I've had the best nurses since coming here. Poor Boston's so used to getting checked and poked that today when the new nurse was showing him her stethoscope he grabbed it and put it over his heart, at 1st I thought it was so cute but then I thought this is so sad. I hope good news comes soon so we can get out of here.

Day 2

Well we still don't know what is causing the weight loss. Boston had an MRI today, more blood work and some fecal tests. The neurologist said that it was nothing neurological and that his liver felt enlarged. They did some liver tests with his blood and they all came back fine which means he will most likely be getting an ultrasound done tomorrow on his liver. 3 out of the 4 fecal tests came back fine too and we're still waiting on the last one. As for Boston he's hanging in there, he's been through a ton these last 2 days but he still has that great smile on his face and is loving all the attention from the nurses. Hopefully we'll know more tomorrow.

Heads Up

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Boston and I are at the Dartmouth Children's Hospital in Lebanon, NH right now. Boston had a weight check last Friday and had lost 10 oz in 2 wks even after doubling his food intake. Yesterday we had some tests done at the G.I. Specialists and they have been able to rule out Diabetes, Leukemia and Cystic fibrosis. There are still many tests to be done and a number of things that could be causing the weight loss. We were admitted yesterday at 6pm and are expected to stay here 2-3 days. It's really hard being so far away from family but I'm oh so grateful for our friends here. Michelle will be taking care of the girls and hopefully I'll be out of here before Mimi flys in Thursday morning. I do get cell reception up here if you want to call I'm sure I'll be bored out of my mind and could use the distraction.

Fun Weekend

This weekend was great fun. Since Conference isn't until noon out here we had time to squeeze in some paintball, and I finally got to use my new gun. The rest of the weekend of course included conference, some puzzles, and some scrapbooking. Today we went apple picking at Todd's Boss' house. It was fun, about every 10 min there was a monsoon for 5 but we still got a few pics and a few hundred apples or at least it seems like it. The pics with the frosting would be from the apple sugar cookies someone sent home with the girls.

I Finally Caved

Ok so when we first moved out here all the Law wives were scrapbookers, I swear it was one of the 1st questions they would ask when they met you. I was always like no way, no how, not for me. Well I've finally given in and decided to do My 3 Years in NH, and Saturday Michelle came over during conference and I did my 1st 2 pages. Page 2 already looks better than page 1 but I'm not looking back or I'll drive my self nuts, I'm just going to press forward... Wish me Luck!

R.I.P. Cheapy!

So my Mom called me today with some sad news. Our 1st puppy Cheapshot died today in her arms. He has been sick the last few years so it's kind of a blessing but still a sad day for all. Cheapy was 12 yrs. old a good life for an overweight weenie dog. Things I'll always remember are: When Todd and I were dating Cheap would always cry when he left so Todd used to take him home for sleepovers, He was the sweetest dog and loved to sit pretty and eat underwear... He will be missed. Here's a pic of Kya taking a bath with Cheapy.

Mia Cracks Me Up...

Ok so I had to share this quick story. We went to Joann's Fabrics tonight to get a zipper for one of the girl's dresses. We mulled around for about an hour and were pretty much the only ones there. We walked up and down each aisle and talked to almost everyone who worked there. So Mia being the loud child that she is, decided she would bid farewell to everyone from the checkout. So what does she do, she turns around waving in all directions and yells Bye Bye Grammys!

Fall is Coming... I Think?

Well Fall is coming, slowly but surely we had some 90's last week and it's 85 today so the leaves are taking their sweet time to change. I love the New England Fall, the sun is always shining, the leaves are gorgeous, the humidity takes a break and you can still hang out outside. We had our Fall ward social last Friday it was a lot of fun. The kids had a Donut on a Rope eating contest, there was sack races and the kids got to bring home pumpkins another highlight besides the donuts! Another thing I love about NH are all the little farms and orchards. Today we went to Beech Hill Farm with Michelle, Tyson's Mom and the kiddos. The girls and I got there early and had a picnic there was nobody there it was so peaceful and relaxing... and any relaxing moment I get alone with 3 kids I try to soak up. The girls had fun looking at all the animals and then playing in the huge mound of sand, and Boston was such a sport just tagging along in the stroller.

F.Y.I.

So my Mom found this website where you can search for reg. sex offenders in your area. I was shocked to see that the little town of Concord had 106! I was also shocked to find out that many of them were close by and one right next door. So check if you want I know many of us in the next couple years will be searching for permanent residence and this might be a good thing to check when looking! www.nsopr.gov
