Hurray For Boston!
Well Boston just went to the Dr.s on the 21st and had an awesome check up. He was 17lbs. 4oz the 20% and 30% in length I think it was 27in but I don't remember the weights what counts! He is definitely not a concern of ours weight wise since Kya was 18lbs at 12mos and then beefed up. We are very proud of Boston and can't wait to put him on milk so we don't have to mix bottles 24/7 or buy $20 cans of formula 3 times a week!

A Low Key Xmas
This year we opted out of having xmas dinner with all the other students. It was really nice to live in our PJs all day and just mellow out with the kids. I think we all had a very nice Christmas Especially me ... I scored a much needed snow coat that I love, another fleece coat which I love, some long sleeve shirts, boots, camo gear... yes this was a year that I was spoiled rotten, and I must say it did feel more like being at home with my family in Oregon so it was nice and I love Todd for doing it for me. Boston actually enjoyed Christmas more than I thought he would, he was all over his presents and LOVES his Sesame Street Car garage that he got from Santa. The girls loved everything but definitely got carried away and started ripping open everything and anything before we could see who it was from. Most played gifts so far would have to be the electric dart board we got for Todd, Mia's pop beads, Kya's preschool Laptop, and Boston's Garage.
Here's Boston going nuts over his presents... if you look closely you'll also see him in the background of some of the girls' pics.
Special Visitor
Last week we got a call saying there was going to be a special visitor coming Saturday night. So we decided to throw a last minute Law student xmas party at our house. The kids were so excited to see Santa, well everyone but Boston... it didn't help that it was almost his bedtime! I really thought that Mia would freak out but she was just in awe and rarely left his side. Santa told Mia he had a bunny in his bag and she spent the rest of the time running over to pet the inside of his velvet bag. Thanks to everyone who could make it, it was a fun experience to share with everyone.
I also busted my butt to get all our stockings sewn before the party so here's the finished product.

My New " Old Lady" Jacket
So this is my new awesome jacket Todd bought me for my bday yesterday. Kya said the only present I got was an "Old Lady" coat... I don't know if she meant Old Navy or if she really just thinks it looks like an Old Lady coat, I'm afraid to ask!

Finally!
I finally got a chance to take some xmas pictures! I had to do them inside since it was a whopping 14 degrees outside, plus it was close to nap time by the time Kya got home from school... needless to say they weren't the best but they are done. Note to self invest in some editing software, then I can cut and paste heads!
All I Want For Xmas is my 2 Front Teeth!
That's right after 4 hours of screaming and pure misery Monday night Boston popped 2 bottom teeth through!! What a champ!

Are you Serious?!
So most of you that know Kya probably also know her feddish for anything you can squeeze out of something and make a huge mess, be it shampoo, lotion, icy hot... believe me the list goes on. Well today Kya took her messes to a whole new level. I put the girls down for a nap in my bed so I could put clothes away in their room. After awhile I hear them running around and jumping on my bed. Immediately as I'm going up the stairs I start to smell Baby Lotion, and yes it was all over our comforter... the old one because the new one was still in the dryer after the two sprayed it down with Febreeze 2 days ago. Kya got a spanken and the 2 were sent up to their room to finish nap time. Needless to say I threatened Kya with a good beating if she got out of her bed. Over an hour later I hear a big thud like someone had jumped out of bed and the creak of the door. I went flying upstairs to bust Mia, upon entering their room another smell hit me, this one not as good as Baby Lotion. I asked Kya why her room smelt like poop, and she informed me that she had to go to the bathroom and didn't want to get out of bed and get spanked so she preceded to take the barf bowl kept on their night stand and poop and pee in it. When I asked " You really pooped in this bowl?" Mia yells out" That's AWESOME!!" and I said "What?" "That's AWESOME!!" she replied like her sister had just broken a world record. I can't wait to tell this one at her wedding reception , payback for all the messes I've had to clean!

A Whole Year Already?!
Mia age 1
Mia age 2
I can't believe Mia's already 2! Not that she hasn't been acting that way for monthes anyways. Her birthday is actually tomorrow but today she celebrated with a Dora party. Her friends Ellie and Gretta came over we had ice cream cake, a pinata, and played put the boots on Boots ( which I finally drew last night). She got lots of great gifts but the best was seeing how excited she got over every Dora thing. I must say hitting the Dora pinata proved a little tramatic and Mia only took 1 swing on each turn and wasn't very into it. I Don't think the fact that I finally ripped her head off so we could end the event before frost bite set in helped any! It was below 20 degrees out and so windy! All in all it was a great day and I can't believe my baby girl is 2!
Starting off the morning with Birthday Tradition Choc. Chip Mickey Mouse Pancakes!
Ellie Takin a crack at putting Boot's boots on
The girls showing off their bling... I think they started a gang they look pretty tough.

SNOW, SNOW, and MORE SNOW!!
Well the day Kya has been praying for has finally arrived... our 1st Snow of the season! It started after Kya went to preschool and is just now starting to lighten up about 4 hours later. I picked the lucky girl up about 20min early from school. We got home, put Boston down for a nap and snuck out back for some fun.
Mia and Boston snuck out with Daddy this morning when it first started.

More Crafts
My Mom asked me for some craft ideas so here you go...
Turkey Hands- FrontBack
Construction Paper, scotch tape, pencil, scissors
Trace the hand, cut them out, cut out feathers, triangle beak, and what ever that dangly thing is. Place all the extras on the BACK of your Turkey and scotch Tape
Dragon Flys-
Construction Paper, Tacky Glue, Tape, Markers, Pom Poms, Eyes, Pipe Cleaners, Crate Paper
Cut out Body for Dragon Fly, Let the kids, color, glue whatever they want on the front, Make a loop of crate paper and cut down the center making the skinny wings and tape onto the back, I didn't have pipe cleaners but I would have taped those on the back for antennas Kya used rolled up crate paper.
Christmas Trees-
Foam Tree, Glitter Glue
I got the trees at Micheals for 49cents, you can find glitter glue at the dollar store and then just let em rip!

Quick Pratt Update
Well we've been sicker than sick, well except for Kya & Todd. Which kind of explains the delay in blogging. The latest and greatest new news would have to be that Boston has hit 14lbs4oz and no longer needs to be seen twice a wk. In fact they are giving us a month break since he gained 2 lbs in 2 wks! And our little Mia is officially POTTY TRAINED!!! We've had a full week of dry panties even for bed and including the road trip to Sheron , VT. Very Impressive Mia!!

Mimi's Trip
We've had so much fun with Mimi, it's hard to say goodbye! She's taken the girls to family center at both schools, done some shopping, babysitting, cleaning, laundry, walking the dogs, cooking, made play dough ... I think she's done it all! we've even made it up to Sheron VT to the Jospeh Smith Birthplace Monument. We also went to the Dewali Indian Celebration at the school. I wish I could have gotten pics of Mimi in the middle of the dance circle... yes that really happened! I've really enjoyed the break and getting to do some new things, like volunteer at Kya's school, and go to JIVE at Todd's school with him. Mimi thanks so much for everything... you will be missed!!!! Can't wait to see you next year when you bring G-pa out!
Halloween 2007
It's all done... no more Halloween. Halloween was such a busy day this year. Because of everything with Boston and our house being crazy we didn't get our pumpkins carved until Halloween right in time to light them up before trick or treating. Then we did a hefty walk up hill with the Cranes and the girls scored some major candy. When we got home the girls de-robed as usual and then started on their Haunted Gingerbread House. Even though it's my favorite holiday I have to admit things have quieted down since and it's been nice. A Big thanks to Mimi who helped make Halloween happen!
