What a Blessing

Our 2nd week in Oregon has been an eventful one. We've been staying at Todd's sister Kristi's house in Medford, and have loved having the Bennion girls around they are such a great help. And Kya loves her Luker! Well the week started off with a bang as we helped Mimi and Grandpa paint their house. Todd of course took a quick break to pump some iron. We've had a ton of laughs and lots of fun in Kristi's pool. Saturday Ted and Kristi took their boat out and we had a blast wake boarding !! Although Todd soon felt the consequences of 10 hours on a lake with no sunscreen, and we spent the rest of the evening trying tips off the Internet to relieve Todd of his horrific burn. A Cider Vinegar and Ice soak finally did the trick. We also celebrated Mimi's Bday on Saturday which included a huge dance party in Kristi's living-room.

Sunday we went to our old ward in Ashland to bless Baby Boston. Boston looked so cute in his white tux. Todd gave the most amazing blessing and it was great to see all our old friends. Monday Todd went back on the boat this time soaked in sunscreen and wearing a UV blocking shirt. Kya and I went to the mall and got our ears pierced for her birthday. Kya picked out the earrings so we now have pretty sparkly pink ones so we can be twins. Monday night we celebrated Kya's 3rd bday so Todd could be there. She scored with 3 new My Little Ponies, 2 swimsuits, a princess swim cover-up, and a new Ariel gown that came with a bibity bobity boo and slippers. Finally the day had to come as yesterday we had to say goodbye to Daddy. Todd flew home to start summer classes, and we can't wait for him to fly back and get us at the end of June!! So this might turn into a picture blog this next month so Todd can watch Boston continue to grow huge! We Love you DADDY!!

The BIG Trip

Well we finally made it despite a 3 hour layover that turned into 4 1/2 hours and then sitting on a plane for an hour before taking off for a 6 hour flight. All in all the kids did amazing and Boston slept the whole trip! We stayed one night in Portland and met up with JuJu, Papa, Auntie Cocoa, Auntie Ka and Uncle Jr. at the Zoo. We all had a blast and Mia and Papa did some major bonding. For our first week of our big trip we stayed at Juju's house in Eugene. We got to see one of Uncle JR's baseball games, Kya got to go to Ka's cheerleading practice in Albany where they showed off their matching "Princess Crown" Hair. We also got to visit with our friend Aaron and had Uncle Ryan and his girlfriend Mel over for a BBQ. Mia really loves her Uncle Ryan. Sunday we went to Todd's old home ward, he had a lot of fun seeing everyone again and showing off the kids. After church we got to see Grandpa Jeff, Grandma LaDonna, Aunt Savannah and Uncle Tyler on our way down south. The girls got to rip into Xmas gifts and see their horse Gus, Kya had a ball! Sunday night we had a relaxing stay at Grammies house in Myrtle Creek. Todd and I slept great, however Grammie got stuck in bed between two girls. Monday we reached our next destination Medford. Kya was so excited to see Mimi, Grandpa and Blackjack again, she tried to jump out of the car before it was stopped. Luckily we had just turned on the child safety lock on her door. Tune in again for week 2 of our trip.

Boston's Here!!!

Let me just start off by saying BEST DELIVERY EVER!!! Everything went perfectly and now we have Boston Ryder Pratt to show for it. Boston weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 4 oz and 21 in long, our biggest baby yet. The girls absolutely love him and never leave him alone. It's hard to find a picture of him that doesn't have Kya in the background holding him. We are so lucky to have our Mimi here she's been such a HUGE help!! Enjoy the pictures of Boston, I've gotta go pack since we fly out Tomorrow!!! I can't believe Todd's already put in a year of Law School... we'll be out
in no time!

Don't want to Talk About IT!!

Last week was pretty quiet a little snow here, a lot of rain there. Friday we went to a new school that Kya's on the waiting list for, since we're not in the district for the one she already goes too. She really liked it and it was 10 times better than the other one in the district so hopefully we get in. We're also looking into Head Start, so that she can ride the BUS to school ( BIG DEAL). Saturday Kya and I had our 1st Mommy Daughter Day, since she's been getting the brunt of my bad attitude. WE went to You're Fired and painted some pottery. Kya painted a princess crown bank to go in her room and I did a Cocoa mug with her hang print on it. We pick them up in 3 days so we'll be sure to put them on here. Monday as most of you know we had a huge storm that's flooded NH and we lost power for 3 hours. We were the lucky ones, some have gone days without power and our friend's apartment flooded and they had to move to a new apartment that night. Tuesday Kya had her last swimming lesson with her teacher Jill, they have a make-up lesson next week but Jill won't be there. We're proud to say that Kya has graduated from a Pike to an Eel. Everyone was pretty upset to find out she wouldn't be coming back until after our trip... but wait till they see her when Mimi gets done with her!
And yes I'm still pregnant, NO I don't want to talk about it. But this is what an extra 28 lbs looks like on a 5'2" frame... it ain't pretty folks and it hurts!

Happy Easter

Well our Easter could have been better if I wasn't still pregnant! I'm officially 2 days more pregnant than I've ever been!! So let's see what happened last week. Wednesday I was sick of being in the house so Michelle and I took the girls to Manchester to go to Chuck E Cheese, the mall, and a used kids store where I scored on a ton of Boys stuff. When we finished at the mall we came outside only to find 3" of snow on the van and a huge blizzard still going. It snowed non-stop and we ended up with 8" total.
Thursday as most of you know I went into labor and we went to the hospital, only to have everything stop and be sent home the next day. Real depressing because if we were still in Oregon they would have broken my water and we'd have a baby right now, but apparently they don't believe in that here. So I'm, sucking it up the best I can. I've convinced myself I'm going to carry this one as long as an elephant that way I won't be disappointed again just relieved.
Saturday Todd surprised me with a new running outfit for after the baby and the sweetest card ever that immediately put me into tears. And then we all went out to my favorite Italian place here for dinner, it was a very nice day and I felt very spoiled and it help bring my spirits up a bit. Easter was interesting... our element's going out on our oven and they haven't fixed it yet so we had Ham sandwiches for dinner. We're hoping they fix it before Mimi comes out and then we'll have a nice Ham dinner and Dee's sauce so Todd can stop his withdrawals. The girls had a blast finding candy and hunting down Eggs. We had 100 eggs in our kitchen and living room, so it was an all day adventure. I think Kya found 2 more before she went to bed at 8:30. Well that's pretty much it hopefully the next blog will include Baby details.

36 Wks and still Pregnant!

Ok so I'm not thrilled about still being pregnant, although I had an appointment today and I'm 70% effaced which shocked the midwife she said with a few at home tricks I could have the baby this weekend... needless to say Todd's gonna feel like he won the lottery! She says the baby's already around 6 1/2 lbs so next week if I'm still pregnant they're gonna look into how big he's getting... because there's not a whole lot of room left in me.
Mia's had another tough week she's working on filling in all those left over holes in her mouth at once, which totals around 6 teeth. So she's been drugged up most of the week. This weekend she got a little jealous of all the attention her cousin Mckay was getting from his boo boos so she decided to take a nose dive into some gravel at the motorcycle swap. She got quite the puncture wound that squirted luckily only on Todd. She was a trooper and after a quick baby wipe bath in the van and Hello Kitty band aid I just happened to have in my pocket, she was ready to get back out there.

Rules, Rules, Rules

With the new baby coming the Pratt girls got some new rules and schedules this past week. Bedtimes have been changed, nap times have been changed, and more cleaning up has been enforced on both girls and my tolerance has not been so great these last few weeks so they're starting to feel the wrath of a pregnant mom. Along with these came another new rule and probably the least favorite of the girls... hair has to be done everyday before leaving the house. Their hair is getting so curly and if it doesn't get done it becomes a HUGE ratty mess. Mia's hair isn't really long enough to create problems yet but you can already tell her hair is going to be way more curlier than Kya's, and so I thought why not get her in the routine now.
Nothing else has really gone on this week, I through a baby shower for my Friend Michelle on Saturday which was probably more than I should have taken on right now, but it was a success none the less. My contractions have been picking up and I have a ton of pain and pressure in the lower areas so we'll see how much longer this goes on for. It's already slowing me down starting with my blog being a day late and we had to leave church an hour early yesterday. It's been pretty tough around here Todd's been M.I.A. the last two weeks working on an application to get on the law review and just put in 2 all-nighters in a row to finish. And now this week he has to put in the extra time he missed working on his brief. So my prayers for now are the baby comes soon or the pain goes away so I can get more done. I'm nesting like crazy but I don't have the endurance to do want I want at least not without bringing on heavy contractions and I at least want to make it to this weekend when I'm 36 wks.
