A Weekend of 1sts

So Mimi's last weekend here we took her to the drive-in to see Indiana Jones and Iron Man... I flipped my seat around popped in my MP3 headphones and watched Baby's Mama which was playing on the screen behind us while they watched Iron Man. I can't praise drive-ins enough it's just the perfect date when you have kids. It's $17 for the both of us to go see a double feature, we pack tons of snacks and drinks, and the best part we don't have to pay a sitter we just pop in a Barbie movie in the way back lay down some sleeping bags and they're passed out shortly after the 1st movie's over. LOVE IT!! The Drive-In is in this cool touristy area called Weirs Beach so there's a lake, miniature, golf a little water slide park, bumper cars, go carts, train rides, dinner cruises, the weather was pretty crappy so we found a little arcade to kill sometime before the movie. The girls got to play air hockey for the 1st time and they thougth that was pretty cool and then Kya challenged Todd in an intence round of Dance Dance Revolution

Kya also got invited to her 1st bday party from school. The girl wasn't from her class but we see her and her sister every Friday for Family room. The girls get along great they are 18mos apart like our girls and almost exactly a yr older give and take 2 days. It was the older one's bday but they were nice enough to have Mia along too. It was our first experience with New England bowling otherwise known as candlepin bowling. It's so weird the balls are a little bigger than a softball and you roll 3 times in a row instead of 2 but the weird part is they don't sweep in between so you just have pins laying around until your turn is over then you have to push a button that sweepes and sets up for the next person. Oh and picking up a spare is so hard! The girls had a blast though because they could actually roll the balls down by themselves. We decided we're taking Daddy for Father's Day.
