Valentine's Weekend

Our weekend was crazy busy. It started off Thursday when I got Roses in the mail from Todd, such a huge surprise! Many of you know my husband hates to spend money and I think everytime I've received flowers they've been random bouquets that were days old and on clearance at the grocery store, not that I don't love getting those too but it just made this bouquet that much better. Unfortunately by the time I went to take a picture of them Mia had already played he loves me loves me not with them, but take my word for it it was the prettiest bouquet I've ever seen! Thursday and Friday it was a baking frenzy around here, we made Lemon Almond Biscotti, sugar cookies, and a version of Becky's $250 cookies, I had no space in my kitchen that wasn't covered by cookies. Friday we walked some around to the neighbors and then the girls had a primary party that night. Bright and early on Vday we went to watch Todd play bball and then we went to Ikea in Maryland and stopped by the temple to buy new garments and walk through the visitors center. We saw quite a few couples from our ward there it was great. That night Todd made me Steak and mashed Potatoes just what I wanted.
Sunday was nice and relaxing which was good because Monday we headed into DC. Obviously bragging about our 70 degree weather was going to catch up to me sooner or later because it was 34 when we got there with a bitter wind. Needless to say we didn't take many pictures. My favorite part though would have to be when we went to the Natural History Museum and Boston saw the Grizzly Bear in the glass Case and took off running towards it yelling "BOOG BOOG"(the bear from open Season) and bounced his face so hard off the glass, if we would have had the video camera going we definitely would have had a $20,000 prize coming our way from AFHV.
Air & Space Museum
This is for you Kels... these were the coolest if I could find away to get four carseats in there I would totally drive this around. I should have had Todd in the pic to make the van look even smaller.

What's Rachel Cookin today?

Ok so all my kids now love watching the Food Network channel, they started over a year ago watching Ace of Cakes and The Food Network Challenges but now they like the cooking shows. Mia however is obsessed with Rachel Ray. She even asks to turn off the cartoons to see what Rachel's cooking today. The other day we were in Walmart and one of her shows was on the TVs there and Mia goes hey What's Rachel doing cooking here. You can hear Mia playing by herself now with empty plates saying then you add a cup of this and a cup of that. It's also progressed into what she eats, she now wants to add her own twists to things. First up a salad with lett., broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, cheese, ranch these are the usual than she adds in grapes and shakes the cinnamon sugar on top. Last night she had pasta with spaghetti sauce, cheese and maple syrup, the night before she wanted to dip her chicken fingers and tater tots in maple syrup. The most normal thing she's made was her apple turnovers she did all by herself for the Super bowl. She cut out heart shapes with a cookie cutter out of pie crust cut up apples and sprinkled cinn, sugar on top then topped them and forked the edges closed they were pretty good. So Look our Rachel cuz Mia's on her way!
