Our Beloved Prophet

Most of you probably know by now, but yesterday around 10pm we got a call from my Mom telling us that The Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley had passed away. I immediately thought of the lesson we had just been taught in Reielf Society about anger which quoted President Hinckley as never having an argument with his wife in 67 years of marriage. He was truly an amazing man of God. And although we will miss seeing his cute little face and hearing his great words of wisdom, I'm elated that he is once again with his eternal mate.

We Like to Move It Move It!

Ok so I'm way behind again, so bare with me as I try to catch up! So a week ago today, Kya's school had a Family Move It Night. We all went and it was a lot of fun. They had all sorts of relays and games that made me feel so old when I remembered doing them in Elementary School. My favorite part would have to be watching Kya and her friend Julia from preschool do the 3 legged race.
I didn't catch it on my camera but Julia at one point had the death grip on the back of Kya's neck like she was trying to steer her... it was hilarious! It was also fun to watch the 2 of them come in last every race with all the kids cheering them on( They were the youngest ones by a few years). Mia mostly did her own thing and played with the balloons and Boston was such a good sport to stay up almost 3 hours past his bedtime and just hang out on Mom's back.

The War is OVER!!

The Battle of the car seats has ended in the Pratt household! In the beginning Kya had a gray car seat, then we found a pink one on sale and bought it since we would eventually need two. So Kya adopted the pink one of course and the gray one was put aside. A few monthes ago Mia graduated to the gray seat and at first was elated to have a booster at all. Well the newness soon wore off and it became a knock down drag out fight everyday in the van. So yesterday I took the girls to Joanne's to pick out fabric... big surprise Mia went with Dora, Kya however went away from all the princesses to Tinkerbell. Anyways to shorten things up tonight I finished the car seats, Halleuah! No more car seat wars!!

Before: and no that's not a nasty stain Mia drenched it with the spray bottle I was using to iron the fabric.

Hey, I got an Idea...

So for the last 3 monthes everyday all day long at random times Mia will get all excited run over and say " Hey I got an Idea!" and I'll say " What is it?" and she'll say "How bout Chuck E Cheese Day!!" Well Friday Mia got to cash in on her great idea. 1st we went to Ellie's 2nd bday party which was super cute Luau style. I dressed the kids up they were so cute but none of them wanted their pics taken so they don't do the outfits justice. Anyways after the party we headed down to Chuck E Cheese with a group of friends and had a lot of fun.

Yes Mia is M.I.A. from these shots, although she has a deep love for Chuck and can't get enough of the singing and dancing one... she is not a fan of the one that likes to come out and visit!

Since Daddy went missing with all the tokens Mia bummed some rides off the boys. Here she is after working her magic on Jace and "The Big Boston".

It cost me a bag of Cotton Candy but I finally got Kya to overcome her fears and climb the tubes attached to the ceiling... don't tell her but I wouldn't be got dead up there!

HEEEEELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO!!!

So we know that we have a crazy, fun, Daddy living with us... but with finals and the end of the term Daddy had been a little stressed. So we were all shocked to see Daddy spring back to himself by using the frosting on his cake and turned himself into Frosty for the girls. I thought he looked more like Mrs. Doubtfire but they loved it!

Xmas in January

I'm a little behind on my blogging but earlier last week the girls went to Wal-mart with a gift card from Auntie Tammy and Uncle Billy and bought some Christmas gifts. They had so much fun and kept switching out their gifts for new ones as we went up and down the aisles we finally left with an Alice Doll for Mia and a My Little Pony that talks and moves for Kya. Boston got an airplane which he picked out and some tools we put away for his bday. Thanks Dick Family!!

New Years News

So with this New Year came a ton of snow. I mean a TON! So I decided to take Kya outside and show you how much snow there actually is here. It's a good thing these pics were taken on New Years and not now when it's a whoppin 3 degrees outside!

Some other things that came with this New Year, Todd turned 26! What an old man. We celebrated a night on the town with no kids thanks to the Mechams! It had been almost a year since we went to the movies just the 2 of us, I thought we would get away without having potty breaks but Todd soon paid the price of guzzling my whole soda 10min into the movie and soon had to run out to pee. I would call that Karma. After we came home it was off to Boston's favorite part about Birthdays... THE CAKE!!
Um ... so when's the next Birthday?

Other Big News... Boston is bottle free. He got a hold of one of the girls' cups the other day and went to town on it, so we decided to take this opportunity to nix the bottle. Boston now sports his Spiderman sippy!
